Vision Board
W.8.3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.
1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
This project relates to the standard because we needed to write a narrative what we would be like about 10 years into the future. I needed to use descriptive details about what my life would be like. I also included in detail some of the images that were on the vision board. Lastly I wrote the vents in my narrative in a chronological order.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project.
One skill that I learned is writing a detailed narrative (or any writing) with many dialogue. In the past my narratives were always vague and didn't contain many dialogue. Even though the narrative that I wrote for this assignment is perfect it is a little better than before.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is ONE area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects
One area that I could have improved on this writing my narrative as a whole. I could have used better vocabulary and checked my grammar. I could have written a more descriptive narrative. My dialogues could have been better too. Improving in this area will help me in future writing assignments for writing exams. I know that our school make at least on the the writing exams a narrative writing. If I improve in this area I could get a good score on my writing exam. this would help me get a goal to promote onto the next grade.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly connections between the content and your life.
I can use the skill of using details in my writing. I know that I will need to write essays in college and even my future job if necessary. Using details and better vocabulary in my writing will improve my essay. I can also use the skill of writing imaginative narratives in college during writing class or in English class.
